Let the people speak

What to expect

A man with long hair and a beard, dressed in a brown, worn coat, sitting barefoot on the ground in a forest, mending or examining a fishing net. In the background, another man in a brown jacket and gray beanie sits near a campfire, with camping supplies and a gourd nearby.

Oscar is a well seasoned adventurer & facilitator. Spending more than 2,5 years abroad & another 8 months in Nepal; his second home. From above 6189 meters in the Himalayas, over 10 treks in Nepal, riding reindeer in Mongolia + bushcraft & primitive skills. You’ll be in good hands on the practical parts.

In his Facilitation for both men and women as a mentor; he’s held spaces for 250+ people at once and guided over 3000+ in total. For some participants, leading to lifetime experiences & lasting changes.

He brings you back to the human element that we all carry, to bring lightness in that with a direct yet warm approach. It brings lightness to that where we’ve had contraction. Be ready to awaken the adventurous side in you.

Meet host: Oscar andoni Alonso delgado

Sophia is a published author, spoken word artist and musician. She has lived and travelled across the Mediterranean, the Alps, the Andes and the Himalayas, including time in Bhutan. Nature, community and folk tradition have been her anchor wherever she's gone.

On this journey she holds space for the group's sharing and reflection, weaving music, spoken word and storytelling into the experience. Not as performance, but as a way of dropping you fully into yourself, so you can meet what's actually there.

Her words are deep, confronting, yet warm and inviting. As Oscar puts it: "When Sophia speaks, I listen attentively. There are just a few people who reach my heart with their presence, energy and words. She’s one of those. She will always share and say what is important to say, which makes her unique"

This will be Sophia's first time in Nepal. She's not coming as the expert on the mountain. She's coming as someone who knows what it means to step into the unknown, because she's done it her whole life.

€12. That's what a porter earns for a full day in the Himalayas. 8 hours of walking. 30kg on their back. 3000 metres of altitude. From that €12 they still pay for their own food and lodging.

Quality shoes are not on their priority list. Their family is.

"We handed out shoes and we wrote our appreciation on a note for every single hero — so they would remember that we see them. That we’re not here just as tourist and consuming. But to actually give something back. They make this possible"- Oscar Alonso Delgado

A Mindful Move is a non-profit initiative by A Neverending Journey. We collect and distribute hiking shoes and essential gear directly to the porters, guides and sherpas of Nepal both men and women. The youngest 16 and the oldest 65. Doing it all for their living and to make the guest feel welcome and supported. Time to give back.

100+ pairs delivered to the mountain community. We're going back. Be part of the movement
